The Reality of Saffron Revolution

The Reality of Saffron Revolution
by Salai Eagle

It was,
The cry of millions, and
Unforgettable episode of the History.
Is it the instigation of victory?
Not a dream, but a reality.
Seeing is believing,
The march of monks and the mass,
Reality of the rights is revealed under the Lord of death.
Offering and risking the precious lives.
Today is always the best day.
Burma is the Golden land not the battle field.
That is the end of a furtive.
Will blood drops, tear and sweat be vain?
Covering the truth shall destroy men
Junta’s snaky dances,
Brutal chances, and rural dances are not the same.
Deed shall be judged but not belief.

May this poem be dedicated to the martyrs who graciously sacrificed their own life during Saffron Revolution. (Salai Eagle)

The Saffrom March (Z. T Lian)

The Saffron March
(Revolution on the Streets of Yangon)
By SalaiZTLian

For the thirsty Saffron Revolutionists of peace,
Sleep is uneasy
On the Streets of Yangon

On the 18th of September, they start to
March for peace, freedom and democracy
On the Streets of Yangon

The Saffron Revolutionists march meekly to bring Democracy
In the rain, but brutal monsters threaten them
On the Streets of Yangon.

The monsters threaten to kill the innocent
But the Saffron Revolutionists gracefully pray
For peace, freedom and democracy
On the flooding Streets of Yangon

On the 22nd of September, the Icon of the Burmese appears from her house
With tears to give respect
To those who march for Peace, freedom and democracy
On the University Avenue Road

Old men and women shed thankful tears
Men also breathe deeply
The children clap their hands with hope and happiness
When they see the marching.

But the monsters begin arresting and killing the people
While the Revolutionists march without fear
On the Streets of Yangon.

The Devils are everywhere; their number is 77 and 66.
Thugs back them up
To kill the Saffron Revolutionists.

Sounds of guns and explosions deafen the Streets.
But the Revolutionists continue their march
This is 27th of September. Many Saffron Revolutionists are killed.

The sound of Saffron Revolutionists’ praying
Spreads all over the Streets of Yangon.
The Devils of 77 and 66 shoot to kill.
This is 28th of September.

The Saffron Revolutionists stop marching
On 29th of September, because many have died,
And many are still in the Devil’s hell
But their blood and spirit remains unstoppable
On the Streets of Yangon.

By marching to bring Peace, freedom and democracy
On the Streets of Yangon,
The Revolutionists have earned the hearts of the Burmese,
But the Devils have earned their hatred.

This is the Saffron Revolution;
And this is the Revolution of the Streets of Yangon!!!

O Land of Beauty(Chinland) by Van Biak Thang

O Land of Beauty (Chinland)
Van Biak Thang
Chinland Guardian 01 November 2007
O Land of beauty,
nature as her artist,
Fortified by deep valleys and steep mountains,
Embroidered by rosebays and orchids in the mist,
What on earth dare compare her charm and appearance!
O Land of nation,
hornbill as her emblem,
Men in unity and women in purity,
Uplifted by singing her national anthem
What on earth dare challenge her arms and loyalty!
O Land of amity,
friendship as her mores,
too Where men of accents share the same brotherhood,
Honoured by drinking her long-fermented zupu*
What on earth dare divide her love and attitude!
O Land of virtue, morals as her title,
Purified by equality and
justice Affluent in mentality and mettle
What on earth dare beguile her faith and prudence!

The Haunted Night

Dark is terrifyingly deep
As evil power's deep
Even dogs don't scream
Under the moon's beam
Withholding every whisper

Gunners ruthlessly rule
Where there is no rule
Yet generals have no brains
They just maintain reins
From Naypidaw bunker

Everybody lives in fear
Old men shed in tears
Than Shwe doesn't care
Just shooting who dares
Inside chaos Burma

PS: This tragic poem is dearly dedicated to the deceased heroes who shed their blood and sacrificed their lives for the sake of democracy and freedom during the last September Saffron Revolution in Burma. Let's continue keeping our faith for democracy till freedom and justice prevail in Burma.
